I Can Make History 2012 is a contest encouraging cultural & community pride.

The "I Can Make History" contest is open to Michigan students in the Michigan Kroger Division in the 4th through 12th grades. Kroger will award more than $60,000 in scholarships, laptop computers and family field trips to student winners in four categories: art, essay, music and poetry.

Thank you for helping Kroger celebrate Black History Month and the many African Americans who have significantly contributed to our country in the past and the countless others who are working to better our communities today.

  Essay entries must be at least 500 words in length, the student's own work and should highlight one of the contest themes.
